Review and prescribe SACT in one connected workflow

Prescribing systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) depends on more than the regimen in front of you. You may need to review recent pathology, allergies, previous doses, toxicity, assessments and the plan for future cycles before you can make and record a decision.

iQemo brings these parts of the SACT pathway into one connected patient record. It helps you move from review to prescription with the relevant context close at hand, while keeping clinical judgement with you.

What iQemo helps you do

Review the patient and treatment context in one connected record

Prescribe from organisation-maintained treatment regimens

See relevant warnings and restrictions as you prescribe

Calculate and modify doses, with a clear record of the clinical rationale

Prescribe multiple cycles when clinically appropriate and locally configured

Keep prescribing queries and follow-up actions visible to the wider SACT team

Less searching. More informed prescribing.

A useful prescribing system should do more than reproduce a paper prescription on screen. It should help you understand what has happened, what is due next and whether anything needs attention before treatment proceeds.

In iQemo, past, current and future prescriptions sit within the patient record alongside allergy information, assessments, documents, notes and tasks. Where your organisation has configured pathology integration, laboratory results can also be imported into the record. This gives you a clearer route through the information that supports a prescribing decision.

What this can mean in clinical practice

01

Start from a governed treatment regimen

Prescriptions start from a regimen library maintained by your organisation. Qualified staff can build, verify and update regimens from approved protocols or clinical trials, with re-verification when clinical changes are made. This provides a controlled starting point while allowing authorised changes for an individual patient.

02

Review the context around the prescription

The patient record brings together treatment courses, prescriptions, allergy information, pathology results, assessments, documents and medication history. You can review previous doses and dose-change history without separating the prescribing decision from the wider treatment record.

03

Use decision support without giving up clinical judgement

iQemo can present relevant warnings and restrictions during prescribing, including allergy warnings and pathology results outside configured ranges. Some decision-support functions, such as drug-to-drug interaction checking*, are available only where the relevant optional service is in place. Authorised overrides require a reason, so the clinical decision remains explicit and traceable.

04

Make and explain dose changes clearly

Dose calculations can use methods including body surface area, weight, area under the curve and flat dosing, according to the regimen and local configuration. When a dose is modified, iQemo captures a structured reason and retains the previous dose, new dose, user and date and time. That history remains available when a later decision is made.

05

Plan ahead where it is clinically appropriate

If a regimen is configured to allow it, you can prescribe more than one cycle at a time. This can reduce repeated prescribing activity and give pharmacy and nursing colleagues earlier visibility of planned treatment, while each cycle remains part of the governed workflow.

06

Keep clinical follow-up with the patient record

Patient-related notes and tasks can be created, prioritised and tracked across the care team. An outstanding-task banner and personal task view help make follow-up visible, with a complete history that supports accountability.

07

Access through a supported web browser

iQemo is cloud hosted and browser based, with supported access through current versions of major desktop and mobile browsers. How and where clinicians can access the system will depend on the organisation's security policies, authentication and device controls.
