Safe. Simple. Efficient. One connected platform for systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT)

A patient record and ePMA platform built for oncology and haematology.

iQemo connects the systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) treatment process, from a governed regimen library and electronic prescribing through clinical assessment, pharmacy verification, scheduling and drug administration to reporting. It brings these workflows together in one cloud-hosted, browser-based platform.

What is iQemo

A connected record that supports the treatment process

iQemo is a patient record and electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) platform for SACT. It does more than hold the record: it supports the treatment process itself, helping consultants, pharmacists, nurses and authorised users work from connected patient, treatment and workflow information.

Seven modules cover the pathway. They share a single record, so a prescription can progress through pharmacy screening, dispensing and administration without being re-entered at each stage. The treatment history and audit trail remain connected to the patient rather than being divided between departments.

Seven connected modules

From regimen governance to treatment reporting

Each module supports a distinct part of SACT delivery. Together, they provide a connected route through prescribing, medicines management, treatment administration and the information needed for governance and service oversight.

01

Protocol and regimen management

Build, verify and maintain governed treatment regimens with configurable dosing and clinical rules.

02

Electronic prescribing

Prescribe from approved regimens with dose calculation, warnings and a clear history of changes.

03

Clinical assessment

Record and review structures toxicity and treatment assessments within the patient record.

04

Scheduling and chair management

Book treatment courses and, with the optional diary, plan appointments, staff and resources.

05

Pharmacy verification

Review, confirm and dispense treatment with configurable checks and traceability.

06

Drug administration

Complete pre-administration checks and record what was given, when and by whom.

07

Reporting and analytics

Use reports and worklists based on information captured across the treatment process.

One record across the cancer care team

The treatment context travels with the prescription

A SACT prescription is rarely understood in isolation. Clinical decisions may depend on the regimen, diagnosis, recent results, allergies, previous doses, toxicity, assessments and the reasons for earlier changes. Pharmacy and nursing teams then need to understand what has been prescribed, reviewed, supplied and administered.

iQemo keeps these stages connected. The patient record can include demographics, identifiers, diagnoses and relevant staging, drug allergies, documents, contacts and medication history for drugs not prescribed in iQemo. Available assessments, pathology results, notes and tasks add further context according to the modules and integrations configured for the organisation.

Keep questions and follow-up actions visible

Patient-related notes and tasks can be categorised, prioritised and assigned to colleagues or teams. Threaded replies, optional email notifications, a personal task inbox and an outstanding-task banner help keep communication connected to the patient record and visible to the people responsible for acting on it.

Optional modules and integrations

Extend the platform around the service

The core platform can be extended with optional modules and integrations selected for the organisation’s workflow and technical environment. Availability and configuration should be confirmed for each implementation.

Visual diary and resource planning

Drag-and-drop appointment scheduling, nurse availability planning and resource allocation.

Custom assessments

Organisation-defined forms and question sets alongside iQemo’s built-in assessment form tools.

Barcode workflows

Patient wristband and drug-label printing and scanning during dispensing and administration.

Smart pump integration

Association with compatible infusion pumps and the transfer of pump status and delivery data into iQemo; pump programming remains on the pump.

Patient tracking and check-in

Configurable progress tracking and the recording of patient arrival and departure on the treatment list.

Pharmacy ordering

Electronic drug ordering from third-party manufacturing or compounding providers, with order status held against the drug line.

Shared care

Coordination of prescribing, screening, dispensing, scheduling and administration across collaborating organisations.

Hospital Environment

Designed to work with the systems around it

iQemo runs in a web browser and is hosted in Microsoft Azure. The application does not need to be installed on each user’s device, although access remains subject to the organisation’s identity, security, device and network controls.

Optional interfaces can connect iQemo with patient administration systems, electronic patient records, pathology services, document systems and pharmacy providers using established healthcare messaging. Each interface is configured for the organisation rather than assumed to be part of every deployment.

Designed for SACT

Built with the people who deliver cancer treatment

iQemo is designed with oncology and haematology pharmacists, consultants and nurses. That specialist focus is reflected in the governed regimen library, treatment cycle structure, pharmacy and administration workflows, assessment tools and SACT reporting fields.

The platform is owned, built and supported by iQ HealthTech, a UK healthcare technology company focused on systemic anti-cancer therapy.
